General Alignment FAQ

Some of the best tell tales of needing an alignment is tire wear and vehicle behavior. If you can answer YES to any of the following questions, It's time to call.

>Are your tires wearing unevenly? Inside or outside edge wear, or rapid tire wear?

>Does the vehicle track straight? Do you notice a pull to the right or left?

>Steering wheel position off center?

>New tires or suspension parts?

>Ride height change?

>Can't remember the last time it was done? ( Guideline is once a year, but this varies depending on vehicle use)

What alignments won't do:

>Remedy any kind of vibration or noise

>Cause an unevenly worn tire to evenly wear the rest of the tire. Once tire wear is started typically it will continue that wear pattern through the end of its life

>Remedy a pull on acceleration or braking

Prior to alignment:

The automotive industry standard practice states the alignment should be the very last process done in any repairs taking place on the vehicle.

>Set ride height and load of vehicle to how it will be operated the majority of the time.

>All parts must be TIGHT: Joints, bearings, bushings, etc.

>Tires should be evenly worn or NEW.

>All recently installed parts torqed and locked down. (We only loosen and tighten what we need to adjust alignment)
